Satelllite Broadcast

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Divisions of HIV/AIDS Prevention, Capacity Building Branch, aired a live "Effective Interventions" satellite and web broadcast on May 23rd, 2002, featuring four behavioral interventions: Popular Opinion Leader (POL), VOICES/VOCES, Mpowerment, and Community PROMISE. Viewers heard discussion from researchers on the core elements and benefits of each intervention. The broadcast featured organizations from around the country that have implemented the interventions. Viewers also received information on how they can sign up for training and technical assistance on these interventions.

The May 2002 satellite broadcast is now available online via CDC's website: Public Health Training Network (PHTN) - Webcasts of Past PHTN Programs http://www2a.cdc.gov/phtn.
